Blue Spark Mic Doesn't Start With Computer

Hi, I just purchased a brand new Blue Spark Digital mic a few days ago, and have noticed that whenever I shut down my PC and start it up again, the Spark does not start with the computer. The computer sees the microphone but no applications can use it. The mic itself has a blue light that normally indicates it is powered on, but only does so after i unplug and plug it back in after booting my PC. Any suggestions as to why it's not turning on with my computer?

Does anyone know anything about keeping the USB port it's using active during sleep mode or shut down? That's what would probably fix this. Thanks.

I would love to know the answer to this too. Can anyone at least link a forum that has this answered already? I can't seem to find anything other than this post that explains this issue. On top of this, I would like to know if there is a way for this mic to save my gain settings internally when restarting my PC.

I ended up realizing that there is no easy way to fix this issue.

I purchased the other version of the mic and got a Blue Icicle to convert it to USB. This solution costs some more money, but I have had no issues with the mic since.

This is a half work around I've so far come across.

Control panel -> hardware and sound catagory -> view devices and printers -> right click the mic -> remove device. Then unplug and plug it back in and reboot.

It works for me, except the leds dont come on, so you cant mute or change volume with the buttons on the mic. Which is a non issue for me, but at least i dont have to fiddle with unplugging and replugging it in every time i start my computer.
