I bought a blue yeti microphone blackout edit. it was working perfectly fine a few days ago but now it suddenly stopped working, it detects no sound at all, green bars not moving when i speak, i think its related to the drivers but cant get a fix for this, i have tried everything, set it to default device, restart my pc (i have windows 10 btw) uninstall drivers, etc, etc, etc,.

Are you able to use it as an output device?
If it helps at all, im updated to latest windows and mine is still working properly so it shouldn't be a windows audio driver problem...maybe it was accidentally disabled on recording devices menu? (make sure it has a green check-mark next to it)

Also make sure the gain knob on your yeti didn't get bumped...this mic gets really quiet

Yes im able to use it as an output device, when i plug my headphones to it i can listen everything, so the yeti is not the problem i guess?.
the mic is set as the default recording device, it just doesnt pick up sound (it has the green check-mark next to it).
the only way the volume level bars can move is when i switch between modes.
the mic stopped working a few days ago in windows 7, i tried everything to the point to update to windows 10, but it was useless, i test it in my lap and it worked the first 2 days, then when i plugged it in again yesterday, it started to download drivers from windows update or something like that, and stopped working too!!!! and i was like.. wtf !! o0.
So i dont know what else could be.

Hmmm...doubt it could be a power problem since its running off of 5v supplied from usb...also doubt you would be able to use it as an output device if it was fried...hmm...have you tried playing around with the volume/gain settings in recording devices settings? also set the yeti to omni-directional mode and try snapping from different sides...maybe one or two of your mics went dead? (think yeti has 3 internally)...also might help to allow listening through a set of headphones [Sound menu<Recording<YetiMic(rightclick)< Properties<ListenTab<(Check) Listen to device<Apply] .... maybe the levels are just waaaay low? in either case if turning the gain up doesnt help, you might have a defective mic

In either case, you should not have to be going through such a difficult time trying to get a plug and play device working...hope any of this helps out

Addition*** most apps default to motherboard audio input as opposed to the yeti (even though set as default audio capture device) ... so maybe play around with individual app and make sure your mic device is set to yeti ...im sure you already checked this, but just incase

Im starting to think my mic is just defective, but its weird that when it was working perfectly fine for 2 -3 weeks, suddenly stopped working just like that, with no reason.... pff. Well im gonna ask a friend of mine, hes a systems engineer, maybe he can help me, cuz im runing out of ideas. Ive tried everything, Unless you have any other solution? Anything? What about deleting drivers not only from the system but from registry too? I dont know how to do this but maybe you do?

You can always plug it into a different desktop or laptop to test it...i swap mine frequently between desktop and laptop both work as soon as i select the device...ive lent it to my sister as well, she runs a MacBook pro, and has no problems with it either...
