Hello All. I work with blueprints/drawings all day. I'd like to start viewing them on my screen instead of always printing them out. I just moved up to a 32" inch monitor and when the drawing is full size(can see entire drawing) on screen it's not that legible unless I zoom in a little but then other areas of the drawing are not in size and I have to move around. When I print a 11x17 I can view it fine and I'd like the same effect with my monitor.

What's responsible for making the text/etc. clear and crisp without having to zoom in, the monitor or computer hardware or both?

What should I look for that will enable me to clearly see drawing on a big monitor without having to zoom in? I have it hooked up via VGA. Would HDMI make a viewing difference?
This is the monitor

you'd have to use a 4k screen to come close to matching the DPI on printed material at that screen size. you can use this site to calculate PPI. https://www.sven.de/dpi/

The screen you linked has a PPI of 110. I have no idea if that will be enough to make the text on your blueprints legible without zooming.
your paper print outs have a much higher DPI then your monitor has. That's why the text isn't legible on the monitor. Your monitor has a PPI (pixels per inch) of around 69 while your paper printout is probably 150 DPI (dots per inch) or higher depending the settings and quality of the printer.

Not sure what resolution my monitor is running at. I'll check when I go back to work tomorrow. What should it be running at to get what I'm looking for? The specs for my monitor say the resolution is 1920x1080.

If I were to get the monitor in the link below I would need a video card to support the resolution, correct? Thanks
