Question Bluetooth Headphones only detected as Connected/Voice ?

Mar 29, 2022
Hi. I have a pair of bluetooth headphones which seem to connect to my PC however only are connected as a Headset for voice for some reason and when using for audio as a Headset the audio comes out really distorted. In the Sound settings it does detect Headphones for my headphones Soundcore Life Q20 however I cannot enable them to work as Headphones instead of being a Headset nor attempt to enable them as the Default Communications Device. Strangely enough with all my other devices (TV, Mobile devices, etc....) the audio for my headphones work and I have used a different pair of bluetooth headphones for Audio as Headphones before with my laptop... How can I disbale the Headset side of my Headphones or just get it so it registers my bluetooth Headphones as Headphones for audio? I have confirmed through device manager that all the drivers are uptodate.

The Bluetooth Drivers (with my Soundcore headphones connected) are:
Bluetooth Device (RFCOMM Protocol TDI) : Driver 10.0.22000.653
Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth(R) : Driver
Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator : Driver 10.0.22000.778
Microsoft Bluetooth LE Enumerator : Driver 10.0.22000.653
Soundcore life Q20 : Driver 10.0.22000.778
Soundcore life Q20 Avrcp Transport : Driver: 10.0.22000.653

Update: have confirmed that Audio for it does work on other laptops
