I've recently built a gaming PC and can't connect my headphones via Bluetooth or audio jack. They show up but they are unresponsive sometimes and other times will allow me to listen to audio like youtube but cut out as soon as I start up a game. I've reinstalled the latest audio drivers and chipset drivers and don't know what to do next. Some help or insight would be greatly appreciated and thank you for your time.

Solution
Fixed the problem, apparently my PC was recognizing my headphones as two separate devices. One was “hands-free headset” and the other “wireless headset stereo”. Although I set the “wireless headset stereo” to default that wasn’t enough, I had to disable the “hands-free headset in the device manager. My problems were fixed immediately and now I can use my headset on any game. Hope this helps anyone who is currently facing this problem.
