Bluetooth is seen as headphones.. is a regular bluetooth headset for phone

I have a Plantronics Edge and i am trying like all heck to connect it to my pc. The furthest I have gotten is using the Toshiba stack utility. That allows me to pair to the bluetooth, but the bluetooth is still only seen as a headset. I cant seem to use the mic for recording or in skype. When i called plantronics about this they suggested I google it.. Not exactly the most help. Ive also tried enabling and disabling bluetooth in services.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

What version of bluetooth dongle does your PC have? certain bluetooth functions need certain versions.
