(Using WinXP Home with all updates in place.)

I've got a new mobile phone+camera (a Sony Ericsson) that
has bluetooth built into it. It has no USB port. What sort
of hardware or device do I need to install on my PC so that
the computer and phone can interact with one another? The PC
has plenty of available USB ports. What, if any, are the
software (driver etc) issues?

I am using my Sony Ericsson T610 with BlueTooth on my computer right
now. You will need to purchase either the data cable to connect it to
the PC through USB, use InfraRed if you have that on your computer, or
buy a USB BlueTooth Dongle to make it connect properly.

I highly recommend floAt's Mobile Agent from http://fma.sourceforge.net/
. This program is downright amazing!

Dongle seems to be the way to go.
