I'm at a loss with this one. I have looked up solutions on this forum and reddit and tried everything under the sun, I'm bankrupt with knowledge and I need help. Basically bluetooth has stopped working on my PC, all drivers are up to date and I am using windows 10. Please read through this as it is a general timeline of my issues and fixes.
Originally I bought this adapter to support my bluetooth devices (xbox controller) - ASUS Dual Band 802.11AC Wireless-AC2100 PCI-e Bluetooth 5 Gigabit WiFi Adapter, 160MHz Support (PCE-AC58BT)
Everything was working fine for a while. I also got a new TV and hooked up it up to my PC via HDMI to play games on with my xbox controller. On top of that I got a Vizio soundbar for the TV, it also has eARC, and bluetooth, using it to communicate with the subwoofer, I don't think the soundbar is the issue but I don't want to rule anything out. Even if it is, I can't get bluetooth to properly function in the first place.
I started playing RDR2 on the TV connected to my PC using the controller, everything worked fine. This went on for a couple months. Then I tried GTA5, after playing for 30 minutes or so, my controller disconnected, I went into bluetooth settings and saw it was still paired so I disconnected it and then bluetooth turned off but there was no ON switch, and troubleshooting bluetooth resulted in it saying my device doesn't have bluetooth. Bluetooth devices were hidden and an unknown USB device showed up in the list, which I assume was the adapater.
This is what I did to fix it.
I tried all of this.
After doing this I was trying to figure out the source of the issue, I was able to play GTA5 now. However; after about 15-30 minutes I would encounter an issue, either with the sound, bluetooth, or both. When I stopped getting sound from the soundbar, I could switch between TV speakers and external audio on the TV and that would usually fix the sound. Sometimes the bluetooth would disconnect with the same array of issues and I would do the same solution as above to fix the issue. One time, the sound cut out, then I alt tabbed out of the game and bluetooth subsequently disconnected which made me think it was related.
I want to note that I did not have any notable issues with bluetooth disconnecting with these situations:
Since my bluetooth went out I have not tried the previous solution to try and fix it, instead I ordered a USB bluetooth adapter off amazon and the "Bluetooth Radio" you see in the device manager is what that is. It has been able to search and locate bluetooth devices like the controller but fails to pair.
And now here I am, my suspects lie in the registry or with a faulty HD (hopefully not), I also tried testing for system integrity with the sfc /scannow command with no issues reported.

This is what I did to fix it.
- Uninstalled all the hidden bluetooth devices, but I couldn't get them to show up even as hidden after installing drivers and updating windows.
- Reverted to a system restore point FIXED this and made bluetooth available again.
I tried all of this.
- All the same fixes from before.
- Tried changing startup type on bluetooth services from manual to automatic.
- Reinstalling intel bluetooth drivers.
- Was about to update motherboard drivers but noticed they're up to date.
- Reinstalling the network adapter drivers.
- Did a reset of windows 10.
- Turned off computer and wiped power reserves (holding power button for 40 sec with PSU switch off).
- Uninstalled wireless adapter drivers and restarted PC.
- Now bluetooth works.

- Not using TV to play games (only computer monitor plugged in)
- Only using TV speakers for sound when gaming on TV (soundbar unplugged)
