Question Bluetooth speaker not showing battery percentage ?

Hello,

Recently I replaced the Li-Ion battery on my Portronics Bluetooth speaker. Earlier my phone used to show speaker's battery percentage, but after replacing the speaker battery it's not showing the battery percentage now.

It also used to tell me about low battery by audio message, but that has also stopped after replacing the speaker battery.

Its ok for me with battery not showing percentage, but I am little worried about overcharging battery which may cause damage.

Is it due to battery compatibility with speaker? Is there anything I can do to restore the battery percentage?

Have you tried re-pairing speaker and phone?

Manually download, reinstall, and reconfigure any applicable apps/drivers.

Some batteries are "smart" and talk to the device they are in to give information about charging status. Could be that your replacement is not one of those compatible with the speaker.

@Ralston18, Yes its the same speaker you mentioned. Earlier it used to show the battery % in the Bluetooth menu in the settings. I tried re-pairing but its not showing battery %. I will check if there is any app related to this. Thank you!

@hang-the-9 ok, that could be possible. The battery I bought is from local seller and its not having any brand or any other information along with it. Thank you!
