Hi guys, I've been meaning to purchase a USB Bluebooth for my PC, and was wondering which Bluetooth you guys recommend that does NOT use CSR? Preferably Amazon.co.uk link.

I think it should be noted, just in case, I use Windows 8.1

If you have the time, could you kindly look at the links provided below and let me know, if any, which one uses CSR and which does not? Thanks a lot in advance guys.

Asus: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Asus-USB-BT400-3Mbps-Bluetooth-Dongle/dp/B00CM83SC0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1436328401&sr=8-1&keywords=bluetooth+pc

Plugable: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Plugable-Bluetooth-Adapter-Raspberry-Compatible/dp/B009ZIILLI/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1436328401&sr=8-3&keywords=bluetooth+pc

Bolse: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bolse%C2%AE-Bluetooth-Latest-Version-adapter/dp/B00I02DG9M/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1436328401&sr=8-13&keywords=bluetooth+pc

P.S

As an additional information, for those of you who are wondering why I want a specific Bluebooth that does not use CSR, is because I use DS4 (PS4 Controller) for my PC and the programme does not support either; a Toshiba bluetooth and bluetooth that use CSR. If any of you by some chance are using DS4Windows and have purchased a USB Bluebooth specifically for this case, do let me know which one you have purchased :)

CSR(Cambridge Silicon Radio) is the company that makes the chip that allows bluetooth. Broadcom is the competitor of CSR who makes their own version. Some bluetooth adapter tells you what bluetooth chip they are using.

I see, so I take it that this Bluetooth does not use CSR? What is CSR exactly and how can I differentiate whether if a Bluetooth adaptor for PC uses CSR or not? If you have the time to educate me on this matter I'd deeply appreciate it. ;)

Ah, I see! So CSR is the name of the company which makes Bluebooth adapters. Thank you very much for taking the time to explain things to me. So I'd take it it's safe to assume that most of the time, if the company does not mention CSR or mentions other company it's most likely not going to be CSR. Thanks a lot for that I appreciate it!

Thank you so much. I think I will go for the Asus Bluetooth instead. Once again, many thanks for the help and educating me on this matter. I appreciate it.
