bluray disc firmware

I am looking for firmware for a Matshita BD-CMD UJ130AS. Using Win7 64bit. Tried searching and only found something for cdrom... Disc drive will not open. Please help

wont open as in when you click on it in my computer or the tray will not come out

As in I can right click the icon and hit eject. States there was an error. No code or anything given. It sees it as a cd/dvd drive, but its a bd drive

that link you provided is the firmware update for that drive.

Have you tried uninstalling it from device manager and reinstalling?

Yes. Uninstalled then installed.
Thinking its the driver. Under 'My Computer' the bdd shows as 'cd/dvd'
Looked for the proper driver to no avail

here is what I found.

Blu-ray support is not achieved by drivers.... it is supported by Blu-Ray compatible software. You will have to get one of the newer burning softwares like Nero or Roxio. I'm using the latest version of Nero and it has support for Blu-Ray built in.

The Microsoft drivers are the only drivers available for optical drives. Microsoft built-in native drivers with the OS and that's all that's required other than the burning software.

i have an old pc game in the disc drive. it was opening before i changed the firmware, but not reading. afterwards it notated the bd to cd/dvd. now the drive will not open. i did not save the previous firmware beforehand

If you are trying to get a disc out there should be a tiny hole in the front that will manually eject the disc just get a needle or something
