Hello everyone i have been trying to fix this issue for so long and still havent found a fix
i have a gtx 1080 8gb
144 hz display Optix mag27cq
i used to play on a 60 hz monitor and my pc can get 300 + fps in some areas this problem ocurred since i bought a 144 hz monitor i get a blurry line across my screen if capped to 144 hz if i go lower like 140 it doesnt happen allways just sometimes if i cap it to 160 fps it almost goes away but the image feels laggy
ive tried so manny stuff
i dont want to use vsync because of the input lag , gsync also feels like my mouse is heavy and it also doesnt fix the tearing completly i dont know what else to do maybe my graphics card has some weird problem because it never happened while on a 60hz display and the fps where higher than the refresh rate its to the point that i regret buying this monitor whats the point of having a 144 hz if i cant really use it , this problem happens more in fortnite in any other game i have not noticed any tearing even if my fps is higher only in fortnite its is insane and unplayable i see so many streamers that dont use any type of sync and it doesnt happen to them theyr game runs so smooth but mine feels choppy

What cable are using to connect the graphics card to the monitor?

It might be a problem with the monitor. Can you test with another monitor or use this monitor with another PC at the same refresh rates?

On a relatively off-topic note, that PSU is not a very good one (with a 3-year warranty?) and I think it is an old design/platform. How old is it?

im using DP cable for the monitor , to test a new monitor im gonna have to wait untill my nephew come back from vacation as i gave him my old monitor , i have had this pc for 1 year at the most maybe not even a year , whats weird is that i only get that type of blurred line in fortnite ..
it makes me not even want to play anymore i dont enjoy gaming like this :/
and i cant return the monitor because i lost the receit while moving to a new house Feelsbadman 🙁

It only happening in one game might suggest there's a problem with that game and the driver are not playing nice.

I guess if it was a hardware issue with card, port, cable or monitor/panel at that refresh rate and data transmission clocks and what not it would manifest itself in other games too. Although it wouldn't hurt to check with another DP cable.

Or as I said it might be something faulty with the monitor that shows up at that point. I think it's a 2560 x 1440 max resolution. Have you tried with that game in lower resolution same refresh rate like at 1080p?

yeah it might be something with the game i think that too because it doesnt happen in other games
i used to play on stretched resolution before at 1440x1080 and it didnt happen but epic games decided to remove the strech option and now we all have to play on native wich for some people brings some problems such as mine :/

If you're aware of others having the same or similar issues because Epic made changes to their code, that might be the explanation.

Usually issues that are common among many users get reported as bugs and glitches and developers try to resolve them with patches or updates or if it's a driver-related issue through collaboration with companies that make drivers being nvidia in your case.

As I said, if it was a hardware issue it would probably be there all the time or at least in more than the one game.
