Question Blurry Text and Icons on Monitor

Hi there, I recently bought a 27" 1080p monitor to use with my windows 10 laptop. It is an Acer ed273. The first thing I noticed was the fact that text and icons seemed to be blurry or at a poor resolution. I thought maybe the resolution was not high enough for a 27" monitor so I bought the 24" version instead. However, the text and icons are just as blurry on the 24" which leads me to believe the resolution is not the issue, especially since videos and images look crisp. I have tried everything I could find (changed scaling, resolution, driver updates, cleartype, etc.) but text and icons still look blurry. It seems to be the worst on chrome, but it is definitely system-wide since even the windows icon in the bottom left appears blurry. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Are you sure you're running at the native 1080p resolution? And how close are you sitting to the monitor?

Yes I am sure its running at native 1080p. I am sitting about an arm's length away. To make it look not blurry I have to sit at least two arms lengths away which is kind of ridiculous
