I am running win 8.1 64 bit and am connecting to a technika 26" tv via either a hdmi cable or dvi-hdmi cable. I recently upgraded to this card from an AMD Radeon HD 5450 which although old and weak produced a brilliant image on my screen with the dvi-hdmi cable although poor with just the hdmi cable. The gtx 650 ti boost 2gb however leaves the screen very blurry and I have to lower the screen refresh rate to 24 hertz or to a very low resolution to stop it from being headache inducing. I know that it should be fine outputting at 1920 x 1080 because I did with my old card and got a lovely image so don't understand why I can't with the newer much better card. I think the problem lies with the nvidia control pannel saying that I am using "HDMI to HDTV" as a connector rather than DVI to HDTV. I spent close to the last of my student loan on the graphics card so can't really afford to buy a new tv/monitor particularly since I know this tv SHOULD be good enough.
I have tried a great number of websites and have searched for solutions until I'm blue in the face and was hoping that you would be able to offer some advice or hopefully even a solution. You certainly can't be less useful than Palit who advised I try another cable (which would never occur to anyone) or get a new monitor.
cheers.
