I replaced my Toshiba laptop due to hardware failure. I have atempting to install Boinc on the new HP laptop. Both /were using W10. I keep getting the message "Unable to connect to the core client". I found a Boinc online help community. After logging in I can't find away to post a message for help on it. There seems to be no provision on the website to post a message. I found I could read older messages posted by others. Anybody know how to contact the Boinc group. I have been fighting this problem since November 2019. I'd hate to have to abandon the SETI At Home project. If I can't find a solution to the problem soon I will have no choice but to delete it.

SETI is closing shop, so to speak, at the end of the month. Note the posting on the right side of the home page that says, "
SETI@home hibernation
On March 31, the volunteer computing part of SETI@home will stop distributing work and will go into hibernation. "

Are you trying to install the latest version from the BOINC site?

https://boinc.berkeley.edu/download.php

Is Windows fully updated?

Yes and Yes on both questions. Also I tried disabling the firewall. That made no difference. Did not know of the hibernation. I will discontinue trying the reinstall. Thanks.
