Boosting a weak public wifi point (details inside)

Hey all and thanks for reading!

So here's the situation-my mother is elderly and recently expressed interest in watching netflix/using the net more than just on her phone playing silly games. She even wants to buy a ps4! 😀

She can't afford internet access(living off paltry retirement money), but she literally lives 300 feet away from a McDonald's with free wifi, and she loves McDonald's so she got to know the franchise owner- He's told her that she's welcome to use the wifi if she can pick it up, so I attempted to do so on her tv, and it locates the signal but it's simply too weak of a connection.

I have a pretty nice/new netgear router/modem combo unit i could give her, and I'm wondering-is there a device I could purchase to boost that weak McDonald's signal and rebroadcast it, so her tv/whatever can pick it up strong and vibrant?

The best choice is an outdoor directional wireless bridge. Something like this -- https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833168115 You put in on the balcony or in a window facing the McDonalds. You run it in router mode. You have to have an ethernet cable connected to power it, so the best choice is to connect the TV via a wired connection rather than a wireless.
