[SOLVED] Boot drive not detected while new SSD is plugged in?

I'm trying to replace my old C: boot drive, a 120gb adata SSD, with a new 500 GB WD NVMe SSD, trying to clone my old ssd to it. But I have seen that while both are plugged in, my adata will not be detected in BIOS. It doesn't seem to appear anywhere. I tried unplugging my other various drives but it is the same result. So I unplug the new NVMe drive and now my Adata boot drive is working again. What is going on here?

edit: I have a gigabyte motherboard/BIOS.

I can't be sure since you did not identify your motherboard, but on many motherboards using the M.2 port will disable 2 SATA ports. I am guessing that is what is happening here. Try switching your boot drive to a different SATA port.

Using M.2 drive on your board disables sata ports SATA3_4 and SATA3_5.
Why does it do that? ... by design. That's, how it works on your board.
