This morning my brother accidentally kicked my PC, it BSoDed and then did not start, I thought it might be a RAM stick getting loose and indeed it was. When I started up the PC I got the recovery screen with error code 0xc0000102.
I got W10 on a pendrive and went: repair > troubleshooting > startup fix. It run for several minutes, restarted and the error code was still present.
Next through the pendrive I got into console run chkdsk c /f and it returned right away no bad sectors. Next I tried to follow this steps: https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/error-code-0xc0000102-on-boot.3006022/ But on command bootrec.exe /Fixboot I got "Access denied".
Finally I ended up here: https://www.diskpart.com/windows-10/fixboot-access-denied-windows-10.html And I don't want to go blindly into partitions and formating as I never touched this before via command line. Is there any other way I might try to fix this boot problem? Or my only option is the one described in last link, if so how do I proceed to not lose any data?
