Well, my PC is dual booted but I am trying to boot from my USB. However, when my USB is connected, it doesn't show in the grub menu or give me an option anywhere, other than to boot into Windows or Linux. Anyone know how, if possible, I can do this?

There isn't an operating system on it, the USB has software that works when its on a USB that's being used as the boot device. I've tried setting the boot order to boot from USB first but when the computer is turned on, I am only shown the grub menu for windows or Linux, choosing either proceeds the computer just to boot into that OS, completely ignoring the USB

The software comes with an application that sets it up for a USB, I don't think I have to make it bootable, I'm fairly sure it does that when you run the application.

Yeah that's the same way that I installed it, thanks anyway.
