Boot from old windows 7 hard disk

I just got a new desktop with windows 10 installed (hate it, no dvd drive, no Microsoft office, games don't work. Maybe microsoft need our money) can I boot up via USB from old HDD with windows 7 or could I damage the new computer?

The fact that it has Windows 10 I doubt has much influence on your games not working, unless they are super old titles. What are the system specs, of this desktop, and what games are you trying to play?

Buy and install a DVD drive
Office does not comes with it, you have to buy that separately

If you need MS Office, just install it if you have it. Not normally free with a new PC.

Short answer, no, you cannot boot from that.

No, you're confusing a DVD driver with a media player.
Windows 10 has no built in software to play movies. A DVD drive to install from, or other 'data', works just fine.

My point is you are blaming windows 10 for something, that could very well be hardware related.
