Boot from USB(Bios options)

Hello,

I am trying to install Windows 7 from a usb flash drive(the usb is made bootable by me). The problem is that I am trying to do it on an older computer (2008) and when I put the usb into a port and restart the PC, nothing happens.I went to the BIOS and saw that there are 3 USB boot priority options (usb-fdd,usb-zil and i can't remember the third one, but it was something similar). I've tried almost every possible combination from them to the first, second and third boot priorities.I don't know where the problem is.And another thing, my PC has many USB ports. I've tried the procedure from two ports( on one of the many from the back side of the computer, and on one of the two ports on the front side of the PC(by the way, they sometimes do not work properly and I have to put the USB again in order to use it)).Can you tell me what the issue is and if possible, a way to fix it?Thank you

Not all BIOS systems are capable of booting from a USB device. If USB devices are not listed in your system, your system may not support USB booting.

Go back the BIOS, make sure the UBS is list there or not.

The three options I have for USB are:USB-FDD,USB-ZIP and USB-CDROM.I've tried almost every cmbination with them to the three boot priorities and still couldn't boot from the USB flash.Any other suggestions?

set the system to boot from hd first then go under hard drives the usb stick should be listed there..on dells and hp you have to put the usb stick first before hd in the bios under hard drives. also did you use the microsoft iso to usb tool?? that tool does work and will make your usb stick bootable.

I already have a bootable USB with the OS,that I made months ago wit the USB/DVD tool. I tried the procedure with it and nothing.
