I have a WD My Passport Ultra 2TB HDD. Recently I decided to download Win 10 x64 directly to my HDD. After completion of the download, I was shocked to find that my files were gone and the HDD had become a boot usb-HDD. It says that the entire disk was 31.9 GB and 28.5GB was free.
What about my files, games, pictures. Please Help!

Hi there Kevin Sam KN465,

That is really unpleasant. :(

I believe you can use some partition/data recovery tool and try to retrieve your data.
Keep in mind that some of it could be overwritten, which means it would be unrecoverable.

There are many threads on partition/data recovery in the community. You can check those out.

Hope this will help,
D_Know_WD :)

I'm pretty sure - you were warned, that your drive will be overwritten.
Next time read the info more carefully.
