I built my PC in January and have been using the latest version of Windows 10 Home. Last week my computer updated automatically to the Creator's Edition of Windows 10. I hadn't been having any issues prior, but after the update I started having boot issues.

Specifically, when I boot my computer, it runs through the POST screen, goes to the loading screen, then goes dark or shows some random colors. It then hangs on a black screen for 30 or so seconds then reboots and starts as normal.

I figured this was a problem with the update and so I downloaded the most recent ISO from Microsoft and re-installed on Sunday. This didn't fix the problem and I cannot seem to find why this would happen. I have made sure I am using the most recent video drivers, and drivers from my MOBO's website.

I am running:
I7-7700k
Asus z170-a
Asus Rog 1070
16G of ram.

Any ideas?

Solution
Z170-A BIOS 3401
1.Improved System Performance
2.Modified OA key function in legacy OS
3.Fixed some PS/2 devices connection issue in win8/win10 when fast startup is enabled
4.Fixed chassis fan’s behavior after wake up from S3
5.Fixed CPU(i3-7350K) ratio item missing issue in SW
make sure your running the newest bios. if the error still there make sure you have the newest intel chipset drivers and in the bios set primany display to peg/pci and turn off mulit monitor support to turn off onboard video.
