I bought a Gatway LT41p05u. Its a touch screen windows 8 netbook. The previous owners had completely wiped the harddrive so i needed to reinstall windows 8. I have a key and a windows 8 installation disk. I tried:
-changed the boot priority in bios
-creating a bootable flashdrive with windows 8
-used usb dvd drive to boot from
none of these would boot. It would just say no bootable devices. When pressing F8, bringing up the 'select boot' list showed nothing. It asked to select but the list is empty.
I took the harddrive out and tried installing via my desktop but it wanted the key before i could install and I didnt want to activate it on my desktop so i installed vista home on it instead so i could install 8 once it was bootable. Once I put it back in and started: nothing. Same as before, empty boot list.
