Boot Loop so I need to roll back...how to I get back to W10 after the fix?

I just updated my laptop from Win7 to Win10. I have done this before with several other machines with no problems. However, this one has given me a bootloop at the loading screen. I am able to get into the advanced startup menu by killing the power a couple of times during bootups.

One of the options in the Advanced Startup menu is to rollback to a prior version of windows, which seems like what I want to do. However, what happens when I try to upgrade to windows 10 again? Will my free upgrade be used up?

Hi,

If you'll be rolling back to it's original OS, yes you would still get an option to upgrade back to Windows 10. But if you can, I would suggest doing a clean install on Windows 10 instead.

Thanks for the reply and sorry for the delay... I didn't get a notification that there was a reply.

If I do I clean install of Win10, do I use the Win7 product key? How else will they know I am eligible for an update?
