ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0

OS:
Windows 8

So my issue is this, when I boot my computer, I must manually select the drive with windows stored on it to boot. This is because whenever I attempt to reset the boot order (to defaults or otherwise) I find my BIOS freezes and stalls completely. I restart, and must select the drive to boot off of to continue.

I have tried resetting the Motherboard to defaults (with multiple methods), but every time I do so, the boot order is left blank. My goal is to have it where my computer doesn't need my say-so to start when I press the power button. It would be much appreciated if someone could tell me how to remedy the situation, thanks in advance.

Solution
It would appear you're dealing with a buggy or slightly corrupted BIOS Install.

Download the latest BIOS Version from ASUS' website and install it. This should correct the situation.
