I have (what I think is) a strange issue. Most times, when I shut down or reboot everything works fine. Everytime some sort of update is done and the computer reboots I get a blue screen with a memory management error. The memory tests fine. After restarting numerous times, sometimes jsut letting the computer site for 20 minutes or so, I can usually get things working again. Sometimes even with just a reboot I have the error.
Today, feeling frustrated, I took all of the existing memory out. Replaced it with brand new sticks. Lo and behold, an hour or so ago, an update was done and the blue screen problem occurred again.
This is getting rather frustrating... as I'm afraid to turn the computer off. I pray that there isn't a power outage.
Computer is a Dell XPS8900. I currently have 2 16gb memory sticks. Boots from an SSD and there is an additional traditional hard drive.
Since I replaced the memory I'm thinking this isn't a hardware issue???
Any advice, or suggestions on how to trouble shoot would be most appreciated.
Thanks!
