Hi I have a samsung 850 evo ssd and my boot time is about 17 seconds so I went ahead and disabled all startup applications and it became like 30 seconds so i guess that wont speed up my boot times but how do u make boot times faster in bios or in general? MB is an Asus Maximus 7 Hero and i've noticed that it stays at the rog screen for some time so any help would be appreciated

Solution
Look at your bios settings.
Disable what you do not use.
For example, there is no need to do a memory test.
If you do not use some adapters, like a marvell sata adapter, disable that.

Check your boot order. You want the boot device to be first, Otherwise, the motherboard will check for example that you do/do not have a bootable dvd in your dvd drive.

Make certain your ram settings are good. If they are not good, the motherboard takes extra time to find a setting that works.

Lastly, do not boot so much.
If you use sleep to ram(s3) (not hibernate) it will take only a few seconds to sleep/wake.
In sleep you have a very low power usage.

I can't guess why eliminating startup tasks would cause it to take longer.
