Hi
My previous monitor was Asus VX229H and i connect it to my GTX970 via HDMI cable, i changes my monitor to Asus PG279Q and connect it via DP port but the boot time after it take longer time! before displaying the Motherboard logo on the screen!
Why?

Solution
Do you have an option in the BIOS to set the video output to PCIE first rather than let it check for onboard first and the plugin card.

Also, a lot of monitors autodetect the input signal type from VGA, DVI, HDMI, DP, so you can also manually set it to DP to avoid an input scan.
