Task manager/perf/startup.My I7 13700k takes around 20 secs to boot to desktop with the power button, is the average for this cpu? Also
running ASrock z790 Steel Legend and 32 meg ram with rtx3060 gpu.
After the BIOS time, boot time relies a LOT on whatever software you have starting up.My I7 13700k takes around 20 secs to boot to desktop with the power button, is the average for this cpu? Also
running ASrock z790 Steel Legend and 32 meg ram with rtx3060 gpu.
Task ManagerTask manager/perf/startup.

Varies a LOT for individual systems.I suspect this number varies by the pc.
I see 2.5-4.5 sec.
Perhaps look through the bios and see what options you have to turn off unneeded stuff.
Yup....the parts involved the options enabled.Varies a LOT for individual systems.
More drives, longer BIOS
More RAM, longer BIOS
etc.
19.1 sec for me. My old MSI Z270 machine loaded with 32gb ram in about 14-15 seconds BIOS + Windows time.If you find a solution let me know, I'm thinking it's because of 32 meg of ram. My old system had 16 meg of ram and it booted in bios at 8 sec. Now my new
machine takes 14.1 sec. What does Task manager show for bios time? Maybe it just a ASrock Z790 thing, computer is fast but slow boot ups.
