Installed replacement SSD. Then made a Macrium image of "C" Win10 from HDD.

Restored image to SSD.

Then configured boot through BCDEDIT and altered the copied boot notation for the SSD.

System will appear to start the SSD boot operation but win10 is not completing the operation. I reboot HDD .

How do I make restored image boot?

Issue solved thru switching data cables and the entire problem may have originated with the data cable for the ssd.
I have spent many hours trying to reinstall Win10 and periodically succeeding only to have the SSD appear to fail. Then another OS fresh install attempt shows the 500Gb SSD as a 32Gb device- it's frustrating.

Trying to determine cause of the problem after warranty replacement and reinstallation resulted in the same symptoms, I found the data cable to be the apparent cause.

Hopefully, this information may be of use to someone.
