Question Boot Windows from a saved state ?

I have an embedded Windows 11 system ASUS NUC 13 i7 Pro Kit where display and internet etc is only for configuration purpose. It is important that this system always boot safe and in a determined way. The application is a live guitar pre-amplifier.

I guess I should save the Windows disc space to an image (ISO-file), include all user, system and register -files. Then configure the boot to copy that image, and then boot Windows from the copy. It must not take several minutes extra.

Can anyone lead me what tool to use and what method or a link, or just what to search for ?

I have looked into Rufus, but only found example for e.g. Windows installation ISO images.

(I have seen this kind of PC-boot. You can do what ever you want, but recycle power and the Windows starts up in a complete predefined status.

Best regards and thank you :) / Lennart

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

Include PSU: make, model, wattage, age, condition (original to build, new, refurbished, used)?

Disk drive(s): make, model, capacity, how full?

List of all connected peripherals.

Wired or wireless network?

= = = =

As I understand your post the system may be being reset to default configuration values.

What shutdown procedure do you use on the system in question?

Also are there any utilities or apps being started via Task Manager > Startup or perhaps later triggered via Task Scheduler?
