I had to replace an old Seagate hard drive due to a hardware conflict. It was in a DOS system so the computer booted with the DOS files on the disk. All that I had available was a Maxtor 6GB hard drive with a damaged XP operating system. I deleted the partition, created a new active partition and formatted the new partition. Next I copied the files from the old drive to the new drive thinking that the machine would boot from the new drive..... but it won't. Is 6GB a problem with DOS? Should I not have used large drive support?
