Bootable USB

Hey, Just wondering if anyone knows if there is a limit to the size of the flash drives that can be made bootable. I want to make a bootable drive for win 7.

If you mean that you want to install Windows ON a USB stick, you need a 16Gb as the install is a little over 8Gb, if you mean that you want to make a Windows installer USB stick it needs to be a 4Gb USB stick.

If you mean the former, it is very slow and does not work on different computers well at all, but despite what some will say, it can be done and HERE is a rather clever method that does work.

If you plan on using that USB on multiple PCs, your Windows 7 key will be voided by MS.

^ +1 As soda says, outside of an enterprise environment, such a use would violate the Windows 7 license, in addition to all the other problems.
