Solution
Your hardware will run on whatever storage device you booted from.
The flash drive with Linux on it, or the regular hard drive with Windows.
One at a time.

You can also use VirtualMachines.
A whole PC, encapsulated in software.
It is a single file on your system, but looks and works like a whole physical PC.
I use VirtualBox for this daily.
You can have several VMs running at once. Up to the limits of your physical hardware.

Would probably work with CD as well.

But...why not just flash drives?
Or individual CD?

That's why you use software like yumi it can put multiple limux systems to the same usb with a boot menu so you can choose.

Do not try tiny core by itself it does nothing, you have to add modules for all the things you want to be able to do at which point there is no reason to not just use a ready made distro.
