I am encountering some difficulties installing windows 10 from usb. I created the installer using rufus. I have already disabled secure boot and fast boot. I have enabled csm but the usb still cannot be detected. I am using tuf z390
I only have UEFI(non csm) for target system on rufusTry to change the option corresponding to "target system" in Rufus. From what i remember, i had the same problem. I had to change that option for "UEFI" or something similar (can't remember now what it was). When i switched, it worked without a problem, earlier it was invisible.
Partitioning scheme -> MBR, "target system" -> BIOS or UEFI
Yup i would a new usb in the morning. I just find it weird that on my current os that usb is detected however if i left it plugged and restarted the pc it wont be detected by windows unless i unplug and replug the usb. So im thinking i was actually the usbUSB sticks are cheap, i would try a new USB drive and do a fresh install of Win 10 to the drive. I personally do not use Rufus to create bootable flash drives so i am no help with Rufus.
I create my bootable flash drives using CMD prompt then using the DISKPART commands, no software needed.
