Booting from a flash drive returns to old windows.

Hey,

I have moved the Windows 10.iso file to a flash drive and whenever I select the booting device (the flash drive), it simply starts up the regular windows, it just brings me back to the loading screen and loads windows regularly instead of loading the installation (I am trying to make a clean install)

I also tried it with a CD/DVD, same issue.

What could be the problem?

You cant just drop an ISO file onto a flash drive (or DVD), you need to use the Media creation tool.
Once you put in the flash drive you may need to change the boot order to load of the flash drive of CD/DVD first

The ISO file was generated by the media creation tool.

What motherboard is in PC? you may need to change other settings to make it boot.

If you are letting media creation tool make USB or DVD, it should be right

alternate method is go to settings/update and security/recovery/advanced start up - restart this PC
this loads advanced start up - a blue menu
put USB stick into slot
choose use a device & select USB
PC will restart and boot from USB
