Hello, I tried to add a DVD to boot sequence but I couldn't find an option for this. I tried Dell's recommendation but they indicate that hardware might not be recognized by the system. I did use the DVD to install Win 10 initially, but it doesn't show up. Can someone explain how to add a DVD to boot sequence for a Dell Inspiron 15 using Win 10 with UEFI or Legacy if that is an option? Thanks

Well, at least so far it sounds like Dell support is on the right track.

When you open Device Manager, what, if anything is shown under the category for DVD/CD-ROM Drives? Is the category entirely absent? Is there a yellow exclamation point associated with the device if it is present?

Also, while you're in there, hit the button to scan for new hardware if there is no entry for DVD/CD-ROM Drives to see if Windows can detect one. The button is the one that looks like a monitor with a magnifying glass on it.

Is it being identified by both UEFI and Windows currently? What are listed option in boot? Is there any boot option F key during startup? Typically, when changing boot order, there would be one listed with UEFI or EFI beside it and show 2 options for same device.
Thanks for the input. I only found UEFI, but I was able to access the boot info with F2 and eventually got things going again.

Good suggestion, however the system restore was the answer this time around.
