Booting issues with computer?

Would like some advice on what could possibly be causing my computer to act up. I have a 128 GB SSD and a 1TB Hard Drive. Windows 10 is installed on the SSD and always has been. The other day Windows was refusing to boot, giving me the error 'Disk Read Error, Press ctrl+alt+del' to restart. This now shows up every single time I try to boot my device, but after a few times it usually just happily boots through to windows and has no problems running anything at all, as soon as it has booted there are no problems with my device. I have checked my cables, completely reinstalled windows, and updated my bios. I have checked for issues with my RAM and found nothing, and similarly done hard drive tests and they found no faults on either of my hard drives. In addition to this, after the computer has booted it can happily go on standby or go to sleep and turn back on straight away after with no issues, its only an issue when booting for the first time after being turned on. I am completely stuck. Please help!

There are so many reasons that could trigger the error message you received that it makes one positively dizzy.

I'm assuming this error msg. displays whether or not the 1 TB secondary HDD is connected during the bootup. If the error msg. displays ONLY if the 1 TB HDD is connected during the boot, then test the HDD. In some situations a defective or corrupt secondary drive will trigger this message.

Anyway...you might as well use Google to research this problem by entering "Windows 10 Disk Read Error, Press ctrl+alt+del' to restart".
