Booting up in safe mode removes my pin number

Hi

I sign into my PC with a 4 digit number, sometimes I also boot into safe mode to remove old drivers and files.

Every time I do this, after booting up into normal mode, I have to enter my password (Microsoft account) and I have to go into the sign in option settings, remove then add my pin number again for it prompt next time I login instead of my password.

Hope I'm making sense and anyone else experienced this and have a permanent fix please?

its stupid but pin or picture sign in dont work in safe mode

you have to have a password as well to protect safe mode from other people

which kind of makes pin or picture a bit pointless really
