Question booting up.. please help me

hello. i was infected with a virus and it makes my laptop take much time to boot up after many tries i reinstalled windows 10 but doesnt work i have to wait for 0.5-1 hour and then Acer logo shows up

i think the virus did something weird to laptop and maybe there is a way to hard reset laptop

Have you gone in to bios and set it to default settings? Also try reflashing the bios with the latest bios .

yes i did. system takes long time to show acer logo but after that windows boots up normally.

How do you know you had a virus? How did you remove it? What anti-virus app/suite are you using?

i was searching for a patch for Rage 2 game and unfortunatly it was a virus i just formatted C drive through installing win 10 by UEFI boot

From the bios screen, then hit exit, how long does it take to boot to logo?

Did you re-install the chipset drivers from Intel AFTER re-installing Windows?

it's random maybe 10 minutes or 30 min or 1 hour or 3 hours and then acer logo shows up and after that windows starts to boot

that doesnt work cause the problem isnt within windows or software problem the virus has done something to laptop. i just know that after acer logo everything is normal

i downloaded latest bios from acer site but when i clicked on it nothing happens
is there another way to reflash bios??

no i downloaded bios files from acer and put them on the desktop but nothing happened when i tried to install them.
i installed them last year before being infected

Run system maintenance check see if it tells you anything.
