Booting with UEFI

I have a Maximus VI Formula. (which has a UEFI bios)

Windows 10 system info says my Bios/format is "Legacy"

How/Where in the windows install process do I choose UEFI over legacy bios??

I've tried to turn off CSM in bios, but, afterward, I get an error telling me that the system is unable to boot. I assume this is because everything is considered legacy.

Are you booting from DVD or USB thumbdrive?

Either way, it must contain UEFI bootloader. This file is called "\efi\boot\bootx64.efi". For thumbdrives, it must reside on FAT partition (not NTFS, not EXFAT). DVDs must contain EFI bootloader in small FAT partition (usually under 1 megabyte) which is included in boot catalog (but may be missing from ISO/UDF filesystem).

If bootloader is there, then double-check your BIOS options to boot from USB/DVD devices in UEFI mode (no CSM, no legacy).

Well.. Was trying from DVD.
But.. I can make a thumb drive if that would be easier.. ?

I doubt it contains a UEFI bootloader then. What do I have to go about to get the bootloader on a thumbdrive?
