Hi,
I am a user of windows xp pro. I haven't installed fedora as dual boot yet
(but I have a copy right now)because I couldn't ensure that the WinXP Pro
default bootloader won't be overwritten by the Fedora bootloader... how do
you prevent it from happening? I do want the TextMode bootloader from winxp
pro as the default B/L.... Thanks
Jack

You can't. Windoze "bootloader" doesn't know anything about Linux nor how to
boot it. You'll need to use LILO or GRUB. The former will give you a
text-based bootloader if that's what you want.

you wonder how much care is taken with the product !!

Elive CD is put together by an individual from Germany. He doesn't have the
billions of dollars of resources that you're familiar with in the
MickeyMouse club. But bootup that live cd and take a look at a beautiful
new desktop experience. It's a work in progress, but it'll give you things
like the FireFox browsers, IM, Open Office, all running within your
computer's memory and not touching your computer's hard drive. R16 and R17
of Enlightenment are included. It's the latter that is the newest and
really quite spectacular. Being a live CD operating system, it is totally
immune to any malware and gives you complete secure online computing. Want
to stop the o/s? Just turn off the computer. 🙂 It's a taste of the
future.
