I recently compressed my hardrive to get more data. Windows didn't have any warnings so I thought it was okay. After restarting my computer it says "BOOTMGR is compressed
Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart". I've restarted plenty of times. I put in the HP recovery disc but nothing happens. I even tried pressing f10 for system recover but the black screen saying Bootmgr is compressed. I also tried getting into the bios but it won't let me. I need to get back to using my computer and my valuable information on the hardrive. Please give me advice and help. Thank you.

So you compressed the whole of C: drive?
Did you right click on the drive in "My Computer" and just hit compress or what?

If you did. you wont be able to boot off of that drive anymore, for all intents and purposes the entire thing is unreadable. What you will need to do is physically open up your computer, pull out the HDD and move it to another computer which works. From there you can uncompress and recover your information, though I dont know if the Windows installation will survive.
