I had a 500GB seagate hdd that was causing my pc to reboot on its own, so I decided to clone it and then restored it to factory settings.
I have no idea why it started shutting down but I suspect it was because I started the windows 10 update and didn't finish it. I can't be sure and I would like some suggestions on this.
A few days ago there was a system 32error, which is when I decided to restore it. After restoring, it said the bootmgr is missing. The clone I made of that drive on a 1tb wd fails to show the desktop once it boots. It prepares the desktop, then shows the windows 10 update screen, and then just shows a blue screen.
I have a backup of that 500 hdd on a flashdrive from a few months ago before I upgraded my rig, but there is no option for me to recover the hdd with the backup on the flashdrive.
So now I literally can't even boot this pc. I need a suggestion for what the best thing to do now is. I have no boot/recovery disk btw. Only the HP manufacturers windows 7 code.
