Hi
I recently put in a ssd to replace my primary hard drive, and wiped all drives and did a fresh install of windows 7. I left my old primary drive in, and nothing was installed on it. I later removed the drive, but now my computer isnt booting, saying BOOTMGR IS MISSING. I put it back in, and nothing changed. I tried changing order of boot devices in bios, still nothing. I dont want to do another fresh install of windows 7. Any ideas?
Thanks

popatim gave you the right answer, and fortunately it's the easiest. Just make sure that the SSD is the ONLY drive installed in your system and your BIOS is set to boot from the optical drive first, and then the SSD. Put your Windows 7 Install CD in the optical drive and boot from it. Run a Startup Repair from that to put some required files on the SSD, then shut down and remove the Install DC. That should get things going OK. Afterwards you can re-install any other mechanical HDD you like and it will work.

I have same issue with bootmgr missing. I have original win7 installation disk. I set to default in bios, change the sequence in bios to boot from disk nothing pops up after around 1 min and then bootmgr missing comes up again.

What is the exact order of your boot sequence?
