thats my problem. No matter what I set the bios to boot from to download windows it doesn’t work I just get the errorYou need to install operating system on it, new HDDs don't come with one.
Windows 10 home I have tried an actual disk and a usb with windows 10 on it as well from the Microsoft websiteWhich OS ?
How did you get/make BOOT USB/disk ?
I’m properly doing everything I’ve done this a few times for other systems that’s why I’m at such a lossAre you just placing a windows .ISO on them ? It needs to be bootable. Best way is to follow these instructions: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/15088/windows-10-create-installation-media
It’s in fact a older system it’s an am3 board from a few years ago. I’ve been trying to boot off of USB_HDD from the start of this debacle but nothing seems to changeIf you are sure everything up and up with BOOT usb, your BIOS is not recognizing it as such.
In some older systems, you had to choose USB_HDD for it too boot from.
