Boots to Black, able to access CMOS setup only after clearing, after setup menu it boots to black

Custom built machine, getting old at this point,

Motherboard: MSI 790GX-G65
Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 945

I recently upgraded to Windows 10, and recently added an additional hard drive formatted. The machine was acting sluggish but nothing world ending. However now, when I boot, all of the fans and hardware seems to be working but their is no video output. After reading a few things, I cleared the CMOS and booted. It brought me to a boot menu and I was able to get access to the CMOS setup menu. I set the clock and then save and exit. It returned to the black screen after that.

I was able to get it working again. Not sure entirely what was different. Changed which ports the hard drives were in and cleared the CMOS again. Viola. Thank you for those that read.
