Question Boots to OS but no POST or Beep!

An ASUS P8Z77-V that's been running like a top for years now has occasional no POST or beep or ASUS splash screen, but boots to Win7 fine. Odd! Any ideas?

No, I've changed nothing other than replacing a failing HDD (that just holds my data files not the OS which is on an SSD). But after doing this, it booted normally for many days, and now this odd occasional behavior.

Maybe see if you have fast boot enabled?

Also, clear and reset all the CMOS/BIOS settings to default, and then try again.

Fast Boot has been enabled from Day 1 and I've always gotten a POST beep and Asus splash screen, so that would be the cause of this odd behavior. And today I got the POST beep but no splash screen! So odd.

Yes so just turn it off for a while and see if this still happens

Well this WAS weird! I turned off Fast Boot, which had been on forever, and that fixed the issue. I wonder why I was getting the POST and splash screen with it on all these many years, and it just decided now to start acting like Fast Boot should act? Oh well, problem solved! Thanks all!
