Borderlands 2 lan server through hamachi

Me and my friends want to play multi player borderlands 2 via hamachi. We have created a private network, and have also set borderlands 2 network options to LAN. However, when other people in the network press find game, nothing pops up. HELP ME!

EDIT: I have bought the game. When we play on steam it is slow and laggy. We wanted to run it in Hamachi so that we could host it ourselves.
